If you need advice on what ride type to chose for someone please do give us a call. We recommend children to start with a walkout if they have never ridden before, or a 1 hour hack if aged over 7 years. 

Our longer rides are primarily aimed at riders with some experience with our 2 hour hacks being for Advanced riders only (riders who can competantly walk, trot and canter on a variety of horses). 

By booking a ride with Bagnum Equestrian Centre you adhere to the following booking terms and conditions;

  • Hacks Maximum Weight – 16 Stone. Minimum age for walk-outs is 4 years old and hacking is 7 years old
  • Lesson Maximum weight – 15 stone. 
  • All bookings are to be made via our online booking system Ecpro. A booking fee of £2.40 will apply to all bookings that are made, should you be making a booking for more than one date you will only be required to pay the booking fee once. No booking is confirmed without full payment and a confirmation email. We are unable to hold or reserve any bookings without full payment.
  • ALL RIDERS must be registered online with us, we are unable to accept any rider that has not been registered online and accepted our terms and conditions and agreed to our rider registration form. 
  • All riders information MUST be correct and up to date, we ask for as much information as possible to be provided when registering riders, and please be honest about this. We use this information to allocate suitable horses to all our customers, and allocating the wrong horse to a rider jeopardises their welfare and a riders safety. Riders who have been dishonest about their ability, height or weight may be refused the right to ride, and a refund will not be offered. 
  • When making a booking, please ensure the correct initials show up for the rider you are wishing to book for. Our system uses rider information such as height, weight and abiltiy to ensure there is the correct horse available for them at the set time. If you book the wrong rider onto the ride, we cannot gurantee we will have a horse suitable for them to ride. 
  • We have a 72 hour cancellation policy. No refunds will be offered outside of this period.  Any bookings that you can no longer attend must be cancelled via the online booking system. For last minute cancellations please do call us. 
  • If you wish to book during peak times, such as weekends and school holidays, we highly encourage advanced booking. In some cases we may be able to take on the day bookings, so please do call us or view the online booking system.
  • We require all Riders to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your booking time, failure to do so may result in your ride being cut short, or if a ride has already left you may not be able to ride and a refund will not be offered. We kindly ask that in the event you are running late that you call us to let us know.  
  • All riders across our hacks, walkouts and lessons must wear FULL LENGTH trousers, and sensible footwear. No sandals, flipflops, or open toe/heel footwear is to be worn. Dresses, skirts and shorts are also not to be worn and those not dressed appropriately will be turned away (without a refund). This is to ensure the health & safety of our riders. 
  • Sunglasses are not permitted to be worn when riding our horses unless they are prescription. We also ask that no bags, scarfs, or hats (other than riding hats) are worn when riding our horses.
  • Bagnum Equestrian Centre operates two types of voucher service, one being a gift card service called “gift up” which uses Paypal for payment transactions, all full price Gift Vouchers are valid for a maximum of 8 months from the purchase date. In order to redeem a voucher you must have an account with us. Please then email or call us with your account name and voucher code so we can apply the credit to your account. Vouchers WILL not be refunded at anytime and cannot be partially refunded.
  • We also offer vouchers via Ecpro, you can use this to send a voucher to a client directly, or email to someone who is not yet a client. You do not need to be registered with us to use this. However these vouchers are for a money amount and not for specific rides. They are valid for 8 months only. We will not offer any extention for these vouchers and no refunds will be offered.
  • Promotional discount vouchers (such as Black Friday or special offers) CANNOT be used for anything other than the ride type they are purchased for. These vouchers are valid for 6 months only. We will not offer any extension for these vouchers and no refunds will be offered. These vouchers may be offered via a discount code or by “Gift up”. All our usual terms and conditions apply to these vouchers.
  • We ask that any account credit is used within a year of receiving it, after this time it will be removed from your account. If due to medical circumstances you are unable to use the credit then you must have written email confirmation from Bagnum Equestrian Centre for permission to redeem the ride at a later date. In some circumstances this option may not be offered, and it will not be an option for gift vouchers or discounted rides.
  • Weather Conditions – Bagnum Equestrian ride out in all weathers.In the unlikely event the weather is deemed to dangerous to ride in (such as snow or ice) we hold the final decision to cancel Hacks/Lessons. During winter months we try to move rides to later in the day where necessary to enable the ground to defrost, we will contact all customers as soon as possible if we need to move or change your ride.
  • During summer months when the ground is very hard, and in the Winter when the ground may be frozen we cannot gaurantee how much cantering we will be able to do. Our horses welfare is our priority and we will not canter on ground we do not see suitable to do so on
  • We have a strict NO PHONES policy on our ride, this is for our horses and customers health and safety, it is not safe to ride a horse one handed and phones often get dropped or broken. We kindly ask all customers to leave phones either in their cars, or in the lockers provided. You will NOT be able to take your phone out of a pocket while riding.
  • Should you wish to have photos taken of you riding, we do this as a gesture of goodwill. Please ask the escort taking you out if you would like some photos taken of you/your family. We try our best to get as many photos as possible, but it is not always safe to get photos of people together, and in some circumstances the health and safety of our riders becomes a priority over taking photos. All photos taken will be sent to clients via whatsapp. We aim to do this over a 48 Hour period, however during peak times this can take longer. We ask kindly for your understanding in this process, we will always do our best to send photos over to you but caring for our horses, staff and other customers will take priority during busy periods. 
  • All our customers will be required to follow instructions for their own safety. Bagnum Equestrian will not tolerate unacceptable or aggressive behaviour towards their staff, we reserve the right to turn a ride round, end a phone call, cancel your ride or not reply to any communications should this behaviour continue. Our mental health of our staff is of paramount importance to us and therefore we need to ensure we have measures in place to protect them.
